Longship Wins Big at 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

There's no other way to say it, with over 7,000 wines entered, the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is the Super Bowl of wine competitions.  We are unbelievably excited to announce that both wines we submitted won medals.  Our 2014 "Quinn" Red Blend ($32), our first ever red blend, received a Double Gold medal in its category of Cabernet Dominant Blends $25 and over.  Many of the wines in this category retail for over $100 a bottle.  Our 2014 "Ginger Man" Syrah ($30) received a Gold medal in its category of Syrah/Shiraz ranging from $29 - $32.99.  Both of these wines are currently available at our new tasting room, which opened on December 10th, 2016 at the scenic River Walk in Richland, Washington.

Quinn Red Blend Raising Awareness for Cystic Fibrosis

We are very excited this wine is receiving recognition, winning double gold medals both locally at the 2016 Tri-City Wine Festival and now nationally in San Francisco. The Quinn Red Blend was inspired by a local 4-year old girl named Quinn who was born with Cystic Fibrosis.  A portion of the proceeds from each purchase of the Quinn Red Blend is donated to a local Tri-Cities Great Strides team called "All in for Quinn."  Funds raised during the team's annual Great Strides event (May 21, 2017) go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in an effort to find a cure for this rare disease. For more information about Quinn, Great Strides, Cystic Fibrosis or to join our team click here.
